What is the Véligo Location bike rental service?
Véligo Location is a long-term bike rental service set up by Île-de-France Mobilités.
Thanks to an offer structured around long-term leasing and associated services (maintenance, assistance, advice), the service allows all Ile-de-France residents to integrate cycling into their daily journeys, whether to reach a station, to get around town or to make their home-work journeys.
The bikes come with a lot of standard equipment to make them reliable, efficient and enjoyable: lighting, locks, comfort and safety equipment, with optional accessories available as needed (helmet, pannier, child seat, etc.).
The service also offers short-term rentals for 2 of their models.
Véligo Rental: a fleet of more than 25,000 bikes
The Véligo Location service provides more than 25,000 bicycles for individuals, including 500 dedicated to professionals. The fleet has diversified greatly over the years to meet a variety of uses: mechanical bikes, folding models for multimodal, bicycles adapted for people with special needs, as well as a range of cargo ships dedicated to professionals.
This evolution makes it possible to support a growing number of Ile-de-France residents in the discovery of bicycle mobility, with models designed for daily travel, multimodal journeys, family needs or professional uses.
How much does the Véligo Location service cost?
The e-bike is offered:
- Ile-de-France residents on a 6-month long-term lease (+ 3 months optional)
- at a rate of €40/month, which can be reduced to €20/month thanks to the employer's support. This price includes the rental of the bike, but also a maintenance service!
The cargo bike is offered for:
- a rental period of 1 to 3 months at a rate of €80/month (reduced rate to €40/month).
Once your order is confirmed, you will be able to pick up your bike at one of the 300 collection points available in Île-de-France.
Purchase assistance for different types of bicycles
To encourage Ile-de-France residents to switch to cycling, Île-de-France Mobilités has set up a purchase subsidy for several types of bicycles: electrically assisted bicycles, cargo bikes with or without electric assistance, folding bicycles with or without electric assistance, and adapted bicycles.
The Véligo Rental contract
Launched in September 2019 for a period of 6 years by Île-de-France Mobilités, the Véligo Location service has been a great success with Ile-de-France residents, promoting the use of bicycles for everyday travel. Following the first contract awarded to Fluow (La Poste / Transdev / Velogik / Cyclez consortium), Île-de-France Mobilités has awarded a new contract to continue the development of the service.
Since January 2026, the service has been operated by Cyclonova (La Poste / Transdev consortium), as part of a new public service delegation contract. This new contract marks an important step in the evolution of Véligo Location:

- E-bikes
- Cargo bikes
- Mechanical Bikes
- Folding bikes
- Bicycles adapted for people with special needs
- Cargo bikes for professionals
Opening of fixed and mobile Bicycle Houses in Île-de-France allowing:
- Find out about all Île-de-France Mobilités' bicycle services
- To test the different Véligo bikes
- To rent a bike for a short time (only in the Maison du vélo fixe)
- Maintain or repair your Véligo bike
- To participate in activities around cycling
